Ganeshpuri Hot Water Spring
Ganeshpuri Hot Water spring is in the Bhiwandi taluka of Thane district in Maharashtra State, India. The place is famous for its natural hot springs. These springs have been developed as Kunda (tanks) and they have importance from the religious point of view amongst Hindus. It is believedthat the water cures skin diseases and visitors take bath in it for the same.

History
It is believed that these hot water springs were developed by Swami Nityananda baba when he arrived here from Vajreshwari in the year 1936. After discovering these springs and their characteristics he developed them and spread awareness amongst the villagers about it and its sacredness. People from various parts of the state visit here to experience this wizard of the nature.
Geography
This hot water spring is situated in the bed of the River Tansa. The temperature of the water is 52 degrees Celsius. Some hot springs bubble up in spherical holes melted out of the black volcanic rock there; this is the reason for the hot water spring in Ganeshpuri.
Weather/Climate
The prominent weather in the region is rainfall, the Konkan belt experiences High Rainfall (ranges around 2500 mm to 4500 mm), and the climate remains Humid and warm. The temperature reaches up to 30 degrees Celsius during this season.
Summers are hot and humid, and the temperature touches 40 degrees Celsius.
Winters have a comparatively milder climate (around 28 degrees Celsius), and the weather remains Cool and Dry.

One can take a hot bath in the spring. The hot water springs are said to be with healing powers to cure many diseases, as said by local people. This is a place worth visiting, especially for a one- or two-day picnic during monsoon. This place also has many ashrams and other religious temples. It is worth a visit for the religious person.
