Nimboli hot water springs are in Nimboli village, few kilometres away from the Vajreshwari Hot water springs. These are natural springs and is one of the several found on the banks of the Tansa river in the Thane district.

Nimboli hot water springs are surrounded by flora and fauna and clear water springs all around. According to traditional or mythological beliefs, hot water is the blood of demons and monsters killed by the local deity.


It is in the Nimboli village, on the banks of river Tansa, in Bhiwandi tehsil. It is approx. 50 KM to the north of Thane and 30 KM to the east of Virar.


The climate at this place is hot and humid with abundance of rainfall, the Konkan belt experiences High Rainfall which ranges around 2500 mm to 4500 mm. The temperature reaches up to 30 degrees Celsius during this season.

Summers are hot and humid, and the temperature touches 40 degrees Celsius.

Winters have a comparatively milder climate (around 28 degrees Celsius), and the weather remains Cool and Dry.

This place is popular amongst pilgrims and is loved for its hot water springs. There are a lot of holy places around the hot springs where a lot of devotees come. Other activities like trekking, hiking and bicycle riding can be done.

Vajreshawari hot water spring: With its hot springs, is one of those places where the pilgrim and families visit during weekends to get relaxation out of their hectic schedule.
Ganehspuri: Ganeshpuri is a religious centre in proximity. It has several temples and a set of hot water springs which are also considered of spiritual importance. 
Tansa Dam: The dam is a popular tourist spot owing to its picturesque environment and serenity. People come here in huge numbers to spend an evening amidst peace and also for day picnics.
Vasai Fort: Vasai fort is approx. 30 KM from Nimboli. This is a Portuguese structure from the 16th century and has many memorials from that era.
