Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Mumbai)
If ever a window was required to peep into the fascinating world of art and antiquities, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, at Mumbai, would be the right place to visit. The museum has a representative collection of various forms of art from the Indian subcontinent and also to a certain extent works of art from China, Japan and European countries. Additionally, it houses a study collection of natural history specimens.

Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum
The Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum opened to the public in 1857 and is Mumbai's oldest museum. It is the erstwhile Victoria and Albert Museum, Bombay, that showcases the city’s cultural heritage and history through a rare collection of fine and decorative Arts that highlight early Modern Art practices as well as the craftsmanship of various communities of the Bombay Presidency. The permanent collection includes miniature clay models, dioramas, maps, lithographs, photographs, and rare books that document the life of the people of Mumbai and the history of the city from the late eighteenth to early-twentieth centuries.

Mani Bhavan Mahatma Gandhi museum (Mumbai)
Mani Bhavan was the focal point of the political activities of Mahatma Gandhi during the years 1917 and 1934. This building had witnessed the four-day fast conducted by Mahatma Gandhi back in 1921, to restore peace in Mumbai. It was in Mani Bhavan that Gandhiji started his association with 'charkha' or spinning wheel. The initiations of noted agitations like the Civil Disobedience, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements took place in this historical building.

Nagpur Central Museum (Nagpur)
Museums, some say, are for those who have a fascination for history. That is true to a certain extent but there also are museums which are delightful for the curiosity they generate and the way in which they offer a window to how people before our times lived. One such place is the Central Museum at Nagpur which is 150 years’ old. And what makes it a perfect tourist draw is the huge and priceless collection of memorabilia it holds.

Gargoti - The Mineral museum is also known as the Sinnar museum. The Sinnar museum is one of the most famous museums in Nashik. The museum is a beautiful and unique collection of minerals.

Rangada Defence Museum
Rangada Defence Museum is also known as Cavalry Tank Museum. This is a military museum in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra State. The Rangada Museum was established by the Armored Corps Centre and School in February 1994. It is even being recognized as one-of-a-kind Museums in Asia.

The Coin Museum
The Coin Museum in Anjaneri near Nashik, is an attractive tourist site. In Asia, The Coin Museum is the Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies. This museum was started in 1980. It includes various articles, photographs, real and copied coins.

Kolhapur Town Hall Museum (Kolhapur)

Aundh Satara Museum is popularly known as Bhavani Museum. It has a collection of artefacts of the King of the princely state of Aundh, Shrimant Bhavanrao.
