Dhule

Dhule is a district in Maharashtra, India's central state. The district's administrative headquarters is the city of Dhule. Previously, the Dhule district had large swaths of terrain inhabited primarily by tribal people. On July 1, 1998, the Dhule district was divided into two separate districts, Dhule and Nandurbar, with the latter encompassing the tribal areas.Cotton is the most popular commercial crop, followed by wheat, bajra, jowar or jwari, and onion. Although Ahirani(a dialect of Marathi) is spoken by the majority of the population in rural areas, Marathi is more generally spoken in urban regions. The urban population of Dhule district is approximately 26.11 percent. The Dhule District is located in Maharashtra's historical Khandesh area. Although for administrative purpose it is now clubbed to Nashik Division.

About Dhule
Dhule is today's district of Old East Khandesh. At the foot of the Satpuda hill, this district is located. The Sahyadri mountain range has reached the district's western border. In addition, Galna's mountains are located. The district is traversed by the Tapi, Panzara, Kan, Arunavati, Amravati, Aner, Evil, and Sandy rivers.
On July 1, 1998, the Dhule district was divided, resulting in the formation of Nandurbar District. Dhule district is divided into four talukas: Dhule, Sakri, Shindkheda, and Shirpur. Administrative subdivisions include Dhule and Shirpur. The national highways Mumbai-Agra, Nagpur-Surat, and Dhule-Solapur have all been removed from the Dhule district.While a railway line connects Dhule and Chalisgaon, the Bhusaval-Surat railway line is in Dhule district. There is a specific focus near Dhule city, in Nardana, Tal. Shindkheda There is a business park. Gondur, Tal./Dist.-Dhule and Shirpur each have airports.
Cotton, bajra, jowar, groundnut, maize, and soyabean are the main crops in the Dhule district.
Paddy is grown in the west side of the district's Sakri taluka. Wheat and gramme are harvested during the rabi season. Aside from it, cash crops such as cane, banana,chilli, and cotton are harvested. Gudipada, Akshaya Trutiya, Ganesh Utsav, Dashera, Diwali, and Eid are some of the festivals celebrated in the district. There are around 376 ‘K' class tourism spots in the Dhule district. There are old forts on the hills, including Laling, Songir, Tal. Dhule, Bhameer, Tal. Sakri, and Bhuikot at Thalner, Tal. Shirpur. At the same time, there is a waterfall at Laling Kuran, which is popular with tourists during the rainy season. The Alaladari waterfalls, located in the Amali region in Sakri taluka, are a popular tourist attraction. Many ancient and out-of-date things can be discovered at this museum. It is also the virtuous party's Shri Vagdevata shrine. Samarth Ramdas Swami's stuff has been saved here.

How to Reach
By Road:
There are many convenient ways to reach Dhule by road.
It is 141 Kms from Shirdi,  146 Kms from Aurangabad,  259 Kms from Indore, 332 Kms from Pune and 322 Kms from Mumbai and 503 Kms from Bhopal.This city has been connected by Maharashtra State Road Transport (MSRTC) buses to the major cities like Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Indor or Nagpur etc .

By Train:
The nearest Railway Station is  Dhule , connected to Chalisgaon Junction

By Air:
The nearest Airport from Dhule is Chikkalthana Airport, located at Aurangabad, roughly 156 Kms from Dhule. The airport is well connected to many major cities like Surat,Mumbai,Pune,Indore,Nagpur and New Delhi etc. The second nearest Airport from  Dhule is Mumbai about 322 Kms then Pune about 332 Kms  and Indore about 259 Kms.

The city, with industrial areas, schools, hospitals, supermarkets and residential areas, has communications and transport infrastructures. Dhule is largely emerging as one of the upcoming hubs of textile, edible oil, and power-loom across the state and has gained a strategic advantage for being on the junction of three National Highways viz. NH-3, NH-6, and NH-211 and on most anticipated Manmad - Indore Rail Project. Recently Ministry of Surface Transport has granted conversion of surrounding 4 state highways to National Highway, after which Dhule would be the one amongst very few cities in India being located on convergence of 7 National Highways. Conversion of NH-3 from four lanes to six lanes between Dhule and Nashik with modern facilities is under process.
