Wind Sailing .

Sailing into the wind is a sailing expression that refers to a sail boat's ability to move forward even if it is headed into the wind. A sailboat cannot make headway by sailing directly into the wind; the point of sail into the wind is called "close hauled". Sailing into the wind is possible when the sail is angled in a slightly more forward direction than the sail force. In that aspect, the boat moves forward because the keel (centreline) of the boat acts to the water as the sail acts to the wind. The force of the sail is balanced by the force of the keel. That keeps the boat from moving in the direction of the sail force. Although total sail force is to the side when sailing into the wind, a proper angle of attack moves the boat forward.

Surfing .

Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer, uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found on ocean shores, but can also be found in standing waves in the open ocean, in lakes, in rivers in the form of a tidal bore, or in wave pools.
