Maharashtra Divas 1st of May

Maharashtra Day is also known as Maharashtra din or Maharashtra Diwas. It has a huge celebration with a parade at Shivaji Park, Dadar. Usually, various cultural events take place across Maharashtra. From speeches to colorful parades, both the states celebrate this day with a lot of enthusiasm. On this day, the state government and private sector launch various new projects. But since the last year due to the covid-19 surge, the foundation day is observed simply only with ceremonies for unfurling the national flag organized at various district headquarters.


Id-ul-Fitr 2nd of May

Id-ul-Fitr  or Hari Raya Puasa means "Day of Celebration" is an important religious festival celebrated by the Muslims in Singapore and Malaysia. This festival is marked as the end of Ramadan that is one month of fasting. For Hari Raya Puasa, oil lamps at homes and mosques are lighted from the 20th day of Ramadan and continue lighting bright until the end of the festival.


Buddha Purnima 15th of May

Vesak Day also known as Wesak Day/ Buddha Purnima/ Buddha's Birthday is a major Buddhist festival celebrated by all the Buddhists throughout the world, with great ceremonial rituals. This day actually memorializes the birth, enlightenment (nirvana) and passing away (Parinirvana) of the Lord Gautama Buddha on one day.
