Water Sport
Watersports mean carried out on water, such as waterskiing and windsurfing. There are a large number of sports that involved water. The following list of watersports categorized by how the sports are played in relation to the location of the water.

Jet-skiing .
Many of us likely had an introduction to the thrills of jet skiing whilst on holiday, but it’s not just the beaches of the Caribbean or some other exotic location that are the places to go. Jet skiing is a high speed water sport that is great for developing your balance and coordination skills as well as your leg muscles. Jet skiing is one of the most popular water sports in Alibaug, however, you can also indulge in other activities such as Parasailing, Kayaking, Speed Boat RIdes, Scuba Diving, etc. The place is paradise for daredevils who love indulging in water sports.

Parasailing .
Parasailing is a popular kiting activity among the adventure sports lovers in India. This energetic sport is a fascinating experience for all adventure lovers. Parasailing or parakiting or parascending moulds you into a human kite providing you splendid lofty views of the Indian beaches, rolling hills and primitive towns as the airy cold winds carry you above the blue waters of the ocean. Parasailing isn’t just a water sport. The dictionary defines it as, soaring in the sky and free-floating while being harnessed to a parachute, which is towed by a motorboat, car or other fast-moving vehicles. This sport can be experienced in most seasons, except monsoon.

Scuba Diving .
In Maharashtra, you can scuba dive at picturesque locations that are also adorned with archaic forts, warbling waterfalls, virgin beaches and lush green mountains. Places like Tsunami Island in Malvan, Tarkarli, Vengurla, Konkan coast and Dandeshwar serve ideal destinations in Maharashtra for avid scuba divers, who love to discover the underwater kingdom that comprises of mollusks (marine invertebrates), crustaceans (crabs, lobsters, barnacles and shrimps), annelids (sea worms), coral reefs, rock spaces and various types of fish. The marine life found in the underwater of the state, is absolutely diverse.

Snorkelling .
Snorkeling is the practice of swimming on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped breathing tube called a snorkel, and usually swimfins. In cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn. Use of this equipment allows the snorkeler to observe underwater attractions for extended periods with relatively little effort and to breathe while face-down at the surface. Snorkeling is a popular recreational activity, particularly at tropical resort locations. It provides the opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural setting without the complicated equipment and training required for scuba diving.

Paddle Boarding .
Paddleboarding participants are propelled by a swimming motion using their arms while lying or kneeling on a paddleboard or surfboard in the ocean. This article refers to traditional prone or kneeling paddleboarding. A derivative of paddleboarding is stand up paddleboarding also called stand up paddle surfing. Paddleboarding is usually performed in the open ocean, with the participant paddling and surfing unbroken swells to cross between islands or journey from one coastal area to another. Champion paddlers can stroke for hours and a 20-mile (32 km) race is only a warm-up for well-trained paddlers.

Banana Boat Rides .
A banana boat (or water sled), is an unpowered, inflatable recreational boat meant to be towed. Different models usually accommodate three to ten riders sitting on a larger, main tube and resting their feet on two laterally flanking tubes which stabilize the boat. The main tube is often yellow and banana-shaped. Some models have two main tubes.

Water Skiing .
Water skiing (also waterskiing or water-skiing) is a surface water sport in which an individual is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface on two skis or one ski. The sport requires sufficient area on a smooth stretch of water, one or two skis, a tow boat with tow rope, two or three people (depending on local boating laws), and a personal flotation device. In addition, the skier must have adequate upper and lower body strength, muscular endurance, and good balance.

Wind Sailing .
Sailing into the wind is a sailing expression that refers to a sail boat's ability to move forward even if it is headed into the wind. A sailboat cannot make headway by sailing directly into the wind; the point of sail into the wind is called "close hauled". Sailing into the wind is possible when the sail is angled in a slightly more forward direction than the sail force. In that aspect, the boat moves forward because the keel (centreline) of the boat acts to the water as the sail acts to the wind. The force of the sail is balanced by the force of the keel. That keeps the boat from moving in the direction of the sail force. Although total sail force is to the side when sailing into the wind, a proper angle of attack moves the boat forward.

Surfing .
Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer, uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found on ocean shores, but can also be found in standing waves in the open ocean, in lakes, in rivers in the form of a tidal bore, or in wave pools.

Water Rafting .
If one wishes to wrestle the rapids, rafting on River Kundalika at Kolad will be an experience in itself. Located away from the hustle and bustle, Kundalika is a haven for river rafting. The river swells, when the water is released from the nearby dam and it serves as a great treat to adventure junkies. Fight the gushing rapids of Kundalika and enjoy rafting with bewitching beauty of nature, in the backdrop. Summer is not the right time for rafting on this river, as the water is scarce. For an enticing river rafting experience, the onset of the south west monsoons is the best time to revel this sport.
Sea Animals
A sea animal is any type of animal that lives in a body of saltwater (like a sea or ocean), so starfish and krill are just as much sea animals as a whale is. All sea or ocean-dwelling animals can be further classified based on how they move and where they live.

Dolphin is the common name of aquatic mammals within the infraorder Cetacea. The term dolphin usually refers to the extant families Delphinidae, Platanistidae (the Indian river dolphins), named Iniidae, and Pontoporiidae, and the extinct Lipotidae. There are 40 extant species named as dolphins.

Turtles are reptiles of the order Chelonia or Testudines. They are characterized by a bony or cartilaginous shell, developed from their ribs, that acts as a shield. Testudines include both extant (living) and extinct species. Its earliest known members date from the Middle Jurassic.

Jellyfish and sea jellies are the informal common names given to the medusa-phase of certain gelatinous members of the subphylum Medusozoa, a major part of the phylum Cnidaria. Jellyfish are mainly free-swimming marine animals with umbrella-shaped bells and trailing tentacles.

Crabs are decapod crustaceans of the infraorder Brachyura, which typically have a very short projecting "tail" (abdomen), usually hidden entirely under the thorax. They live in all the world's oceans, in fresh water, and on land, are generally covered with a thick exoskeleton, and have a single pair of pincers.

Starfish or sea stars are star-shaped echinoderms belonging to the class Asteroidea. Common usage frequently finds these names being also applied to ophiuroids, which are correctly referred to as brittle stars or basket stars. Starfish are also known as Asteroids due to being in the class Asteroidea.

Any of approximately 34,000 species of vertebrate animals (phylum Chordata) found in the fresh and salt waters of the world. Living species range from the primitive jawless lampreys and hagfishes through the cartilaginous sharks, skates, and rays to the abundant and diverse bony fishes.

Sea snakes, or coral reef snakes, are a subfamily of venomous elapid snakes, the Hydrophiinae, that inhabit marine environments for most or all of their lives. Most are extensively adapted to a fully aquatic life and are unable to move on land, except for the genus Laticauda, which has limited land movement.

Octopus are soft-bodied, eight-limbed molluscs of the order Octopoda. The order consists of some 300 species and is grouped within the class Cephalopoda with squids, cuttlefish, and nautiloids. Like other cephalopods, an octopus is bilaterally symmetric with two eyes and a beak, with its mouth at the center point of the eight limbs.

Coastal Birds (also known as marine birds) are birds that are adapted to life within the marine environment. While seabirds vary greatly in lifestyle, behaviour and physiology, they often exhibit striking convergent evolution, as the same environmental problems and feeding niches have resulted in similar adaptations.

Sea Tree, or macroalgae, refers to thousands of species of macroscopic, multicellular, marine algae. Seaweed species such as kelps provide essential nursery habitat for fisheries and other marine species and thus protect food sources; other species, such as planktonic algae, play a vital role in capturing carbon, producing up to 50% of Earth's oxygen.
Water Transport
Water transport is the process of transport a watercraft, such as a barge, boat, ship or sailboat, over a body of water, such as a sea, ocean, lake, canal or river. Ship transport is primarily used for the carriage of people and non-perishable goods, generally referred to as cargo.
