Chikhaldara

Well, there is actually nothing to fear but only to enjoy when you plan a visit to the quiet hill station of Chikhaldara where you will be transported to a serene zone of just flora and fauna. In fact, if you are really looking for a place to unwind, Chikhaldara is where you should be.
Mhaismal
Mhaismal is the kind of place where nature comes extremely close to mythology and creates an ambience that is unique and special in all respects. Moreover, the fact that this place has come to be termed as a ‘botanical workshop’ guarantees that you will find here an exciting range of flora, opening up a wonderland of sorts. Most tourists head for this destination during the monsoon when the landscape turns a bright green.
Matheran
At a time when even some of the most remote tourist places have begun to suffer from pollution, primarily due to the increase in vehicles, can there be a hill station which can lay claim to being totally free of such ill-effects? Surprisingly, there is one, and it remains free of noxious pollutants mainly because no motorized vehicles are allowed on its tiny roads or the pathways that lead into deep woods. This is Matheran, Asia’s tiniest hill station but with lots to offer by way of scenic view points, long treks through forested areas, and a quaintness of its own.
Amboli
The beautiful hill-station of Amboli is rightly called the ‘queen’ of Maharashtra; such is its natural splendour. Famous among environmentalists as a precious ecological hotspot, it is cool, calm, serene and enriched with all the treasures that the world of flora and fauna can bestow upon it. Located in the princely state of Sawantwadi, Amboli is located on the ridge of the Western Ghats and is particularly majestic during the monsoon when impromptu waterfalls gush down the hilly terrain.

Igatpuri is a town and hill station in the Western Ghat mountains of Maharashtra, western India. The huge Dhamma Giri academy is dedicated to the teaching of Vipassana meditation.
Mahabaleshwar
Winding roads, a cool breeze at all times, vantage points offering breathtaking views of hills and valleys, plenty of strawberries to gorge on and a main street full of shops offering all kinds of curios and snacks. Doesn’t it sound exciting? Well, that’s Mahabaleshwar for you which along with Panchgani makes for a wonderful holiday or even just a weekend getaway.
Panchgani
If it hadn’t been for the constant search of the British for scenic hill stations with invigorating climate, Panchgani probably wouldn’t have been discovered. It was developed as a retirement place but soon became one of the most popular hill stations in Maharashtra. Its beauty is enhanced by a flat piece of land which is called the ‘table top’.
Lonavala
Lonavla and Khandala, the two hill stations in Mumbai or Pune, are considered to be the real boon of just jumping, skipping and jumping. Situated on a hilltop that separates the two metro cities, both places are known for their healthy climate and the green cover they provide during the rainy season.
Lingmala waterfall
Lingmala waterfall is the most visited waterfall in Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra State, India. Known for its serene surroundings and lovely environment, the waterfall begins around 600 ft. over a cliff and is accompanied by rich greenery.
