Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple

Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati temple is one of the most famous and wealthiest temples of Western India. It is located at Prabhadevi in the western part of Mumbai city in western Maharashtra, India, the financial capital of India. One can witness the rich heritage of Indian/ Maharashtrian culture through the present structure of the temple that narrates the tale of rich cultural heritage.

History    
According to records, the original structure of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple was constructed by Laxman Vithu Patil and Deubai Patil at Prabhadevi (Mumbai). 
Deubai was a childless woman who wanted to build a temple to be blessed with a child from God. The early structure of the temple was 3.6 m × 3.6m square brick with dome-shaped shikhara. Since the severe phases, the temple is going through many transformations.
The temple idol of Siddhivinayak Ganpati is carved in black stone. Shri Siddhivinayak Idol has an eye-like feature on the forehead, similar to the third eye of Shiva. On the side of the idol, there are idols carved of Riddhi and Siddhi goddesses of prosperity, richness and fulfilment, who are known to be the consorts of Lord Ganesha. 
The current structure of the temple is attractive and unique with the architecture. The wooden doors have Ashtavinayak (the eight manifestations of Ganesha in Maharashtra) carved on them.

Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati temple is at Prabhadevi, Dadar, a western suburb of Mumbai city in western Maharashtra.

The prominent weather in the region is rainfall, the Konkan belt experiences High Rainfall (ranges around 2500 mm to 4500 mm), and the climate remains Humid and warm. The temperature reaches up to 30 degrees Celsius during this season.
Summers are hot and humid, and the temperature touches 40 degrees Celsius.
Winters have a comparatively milder climate (around 28 degrees Celsius), and the weather remains Cool and Dry.
