Buldhana is a district in Maharashtra, India, in the Amravati division. The district's name is most likely derived from Bhil Thana (place of Bhils, a tribal group). It lies 500 kilometres from the state capital, Mumbai, on the western edge of the Vidarbha area. Shegaon, Jalgaon Jamod, Malkapur, Khamgaon, Lonar, Mehkar, and Chikhli are among the district's towns and cities. It is bordered on the north by Madhya Pradesh, on the east by Akola, Washim, and Amravati districts, on the south by Jalna district, and on the west by Jalgaon and Aurangabad districts. Longitudes are 75.57° to 76.59° E, and latitudes are 19.51° to 21.17° N.Madhya Pradesh state borders it on the north, Akola and Washim districts on the east, Parbhani and Jalna districts on the south, and Jalna and Jalgaon districts on the west.
