Gajanan Maharaj temple of Shegaon is in Shegaon in Buldhana district. Temple is Samadhi of the famous and one of the most worshipped saints Gajanan Maharaj.

History
Temple at Shegaon is Samadhi of legendary saint Gajanan Maharaj. Saint Gajanan Maharaj blessed many devotees. He inspired thousands of people with his spiritual knowledge. It says that the temple has the holy existence of Saint Gajanan Maharaj. Legend says Gajanan Maharaj himself suggested the location of the temple in 1908. The temple was built with beautiful marble stones. Along with the samadhi temple, there are temples of other gods and goddesses like Ram, Goddess Sita etc. The Sanctum of the temple has the holy Paduka. Saint Gajanan Maharaj used to wear those for everyday use. Temple celebrates a festival called Palkhi Sohala. The hall of the temple is carved beautifully with different scenarios of Saint Gajanan Maharaj's life.

The Shegaon temple is in the city. Temple has Anand Sagar near it.
Weather/Climate
The region is mostly dry throughout the year, and Summers are extreme. The temperatures in summers are around 30-40 degrees Celsius.
Winters here came to be as low as 10 degrees Celsius.
The average annual rainfall in this region is around 1064.1 mm.
Things to do
One of the most famous places in Shegaon city is Anand Sagar Lake. The mini toy train is a small train from the temple to Lake that is famous among tourists. One can even enjoy things like the lotus pond, Ganesha, Shiv and Navagraha temple while riding the mini-train.

On the auspicious day of Gajanan Maharaj Prakat Din, many devotees visit the temple.

For people reaching Shegaon at odd times or in the wee hours of the mornings, six buses ply between the temple, the bus terminus and the railway station. The Sansthan’s buses also ply between Bhakta Nivas and Anandsagar. The service – a 15 minutes’ drive - is made available free of cost.
Sant Gajanan Maharaj Shegoan (Amravati)
The Sansthan’s recent, most popular and most ambitious project however is ‘Anandsagar’ – a landscaped garden spread over an area of 325 acres with lawns, temples, meditation halls, an amusement park and even a lake with an island. The park was made public in 2005 and work is still underway on several features, including the proposed replica of the famous Vivekananda Kendra at Kanyakumari.
How to get there

By Road
Bhusawal – Shegaon is 120 Kms. Aurangabad-Shegaon is 225 Kms. Nagpur-Shegaon is 300 Kms. Shegaon is very well connected to all the major cities by state transport service. It is also well connected with Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh by interstate bus service. The bus stand is located on the way to Shree Temple.

By Rail
Nearest rail head is at Bhusawal from where Shegaon is 120 Kms. It takes about 3 hours for train journey from Bhusawal. Shegaon is B-class station of central railway located on Mumbai- Nagpur track where almost all the trains halt. There is an enquiry booth in railway station premises from where devotees can take guidance.

By Air
Nearest airports are at Nagpur and Aurangabad about 5 hours distance from Shegaon. These airports are well connected to Mumbai International airport and to other major cities.
