Swami Swarupanand Samadhi Mandir is a religious temple on the bank of River Gautami. It houses the samadhi (self-immolation) of spiritual Guru Swarupanand Swami.

History
Swami Swarupanand Samadhi Mandir was built in memory of Swami Swarupanand after he took samadhi on 15th August 1974. Swamiji’s birth name was Ramchandra Vishnupant Godbole, but he was affectionately called ‘Appa’ or ‘Bhau’. He was born on 15th December 1903 at Pawas. He was fond of literature and had command over Marathi and Sanskrit Languages. At the age of eighteen, Rambhau had started following the path of Mahatma Gandhi ( The Father of Nation). At the age of
20, he took initiation from Guru Sadguru Babamaharaj Vaidya from Pune. Since then the spiritual journey of Ramachandra alias Swami Swarupananda began. He had carefully learned Philosophy from Dasbodh, Dyaneshwari, Bhagawatam, Abhangas by many saints and Upanishads. (All these are scriptures from the Hindu religion). In the due course of time, he was being followed by many followers. At the age of 70, Swamiji took Samadhi. Before taking Samadhi, Swamiji lived in Pawas for 40 years. His original residence, Anant Niwas, is still well maintained. Temple is a very serene and scenic place. The premise has the main Samadhi temple constructed at the place where Swamiji took Samadhi. Apart from this, there is a small Ganesha temple. The must-visit is the meditation hall which helps the devotee to experience inner peace. The temple premises and Matha(monastery) is well maintained.
Geography
Pawas is between the coastal and hilly areas of Konkan, and it is on a medium altitude. River Gautami, which has its mouth at Ranpar flows through Pawas.
Weather/Climate
The prominent weather in the region is rainfall, the Konkan belt experiences High Rainfall (ranges around 2500 mm to 4500 mm), and the climate remains Humid and warm. The temperature reaches up to 30 degrees Celsius during this season. Summers are hot and humid, and the temperature
touches 40 degrees Celsius. Winters in the region have a comparatively milder climate (around 28 degrees Celsius), and the weather remains Cool and Dry.
Things to do
The temple is beautiful and gives very positive vibes and peace in the temple premise. It also has a
meditation room and Lord Ganesh's idol carved into an Amla tree. The afternoon Aarti is known for its Khichdi Prasad. The shops in the temple premise are famous for selling excellent honey, religious books, devotional CDs.
